This project is to allow you to go on the journey with me to learn skills to help save money by creating a lot of the products we usually pay for, especially here in Zambia. I’ll be focusing on growing our own food, homemade fertilizer for fruits and veggies, making our own clay, clay pots, ropes FireFast, making fires all sorts of different ways, things we can make with left-over bottles, tin cans, old lighters, etc.
Because power is off and on here, and network is also sketchy, and finding work is hard to come by, it will be good to have something productive to do on our downtime. That’s what this project is all about.
This Project will be broken up into three related database:
This way, if you’re walking on the main road, you can think, “What do I need to keep an eye out for in town in order to make… a charcoal making kit?” (Materials) Or “I have some wooden skewers and some left over plastic bottlecaps… what can I make with that?” (Equipment)
Or “I need to make some rope in order to hoist the bucket up from my well… where can I get those materials? (Sources)
Or “I need to clean these pans that have black stuff all over them… what can I do to clean these well with materials I have laying around the house?” (Skills)
Then, you just go to the Appropriate Database:
